Whether or not you are trying to lean up or simply see the scale budge, protein is going to be your B.F.F.  If you are having trouble dropping pounds, chances are that you are not eating enough protein on a regular basis which can hinder your weightloss journey more than you might realize.

If you’re like me, maybe you have found that your motivation comes in cycles. I think we all have phases every now and again when we lose motivation and our desire to workout. During these phases I have learned that it is important to focus and fall back on my habits.

Spirulina is an amazing Micro-Algae that is commonly grown in ponds, then collected, and dried. There is no other processing necessary. It is almost 50% protein by weight, so you can view it as a naturally nutrient enhanced protein powder and use it accordingly.

If you were about to build a house that you wanted to stand for 100 years, would you go to the junkyard and pick up disheveled, broken down materials? No, because there’s no way your structure could withstand the test time using that as a foundation. So why is it as humans we vie toaaa

Wanted to share my success story. I’m a stay at home mom to 3 great kids, as are a lot of my friends. It can be challenging to find time to work out with so many littles at home. And right a long with that comes stress eating (for every mom out there you know what I mean 😉). Plus you are giving so much of yourself to your family having extra for you is challenging to find. At 28 I had just had my son and wasn’t doing terribly health wise, in comparison to previous years, but I wasn’t doing any exercise and wasn’t com seemed with what I was eating. I weighed about 165lbs on my 5’9 frame but more importantly I just wasn’t taking the care of myself I needed. (My heaviest I was 190 in high school and have always been overweight)

Whether you’re big, small, old, young, a professional athlete, or someone who has never exercised a day your life, yoga is for you. It’s easy to be intimidated by those who are super flexible- you know, the ones that post daily shots of themselves with their legs behind their ears. Or maybe it’s the ultra strong that dishearten you- the ones who, judging by their Instagram feed, seem to spend more time upside down than they do right side up. Whatever or whomever has been holding you back until this point, don’t let these glorified characteristics deter you…there’s much more to yoga than meets the eye.

Hi friends! We are about two weeks into the year and I am sure we have all set a few New Year’s Resolutions. Some of us are able to power through and achieve them, but if you are anything like how I used to be, sticking to your New Year’s Resolutions may be turning out to be harder than you thought.

It’s the new year- and so many people are focused on cleansing their body so they can start the new year off right. While taking care of your body is essential, a lot of people forget to take care of their mind. Your brain needs a cleanse just as bad. Have you noticed that you’re lethargic, sluggish, and have trouble focusing on simple tasks? This could be a case of sensory overload. When we take time to relax it usually takes place on our couch in front of the TV. Every day we are constantly looking at screens, whether your job is sitting in front of a computer or you’re constantly on your phone or tablet our lives revolve around technology. While extremely convenient, our mind has taken a toll. It is important to take time to let your mind and eyes rest from all of that artificial light and sound.
