Low Carb Acai Maca Bowl

The base of most smoothie bowl recipes are starchy fruits such as bananas or mangoes. While these are healthy for our bodies, they do contain higher amounts of natural sugars which we process very quickly, so we feel hungry shortly after. When we lower carbohydrate intake for weight loss, protein and fats become a bigger source of fuel, and tend to keep us full longer! The base of this acai bowl is packed with healthy fats, fiber and protein, with no bananas in sight.


  • ¼ large avocado
  • ½ block (7 oz) Nasoya Lite Firm Tofu
  • 1 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp MRM Maca powder
  • 1 tsp acai powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3-5 drops liquid stevia (or sweetener of choice, to taste)


  1. Blend all ingredients in a high powdered food processor until completely smooth.  (You may need to push down the edges inside the blender a couple of times.)
  2. No liquid is used in this recipe, and the result is a super thick, pudding-like texture that is super filling and satisfying!
