Matcha Ice Cream

Matcha green tea is a high quality tea leaf that has been ground down into a super fine powder which is traditionally whisked until frothy in hot water and used for a Japanese Tea Ceremony. Ingesting the entire leaf means you are getting a lot more of the praised benefits from this green tea than if you were to simply steep the leaves. Matcha contains antioxidants, polyphenols, and EGCG making it a great addition to your healthy lifestyle. When it’s too hot to drink your tea, why not eat it? Make this delicious and healthy ice cream to help cool yourself down and do your body right!

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Full Fat Coconut Milk, Unsweetened
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 2 Tbsp MRM Raw Matcha Green Tea Superfood Powder
  • 1 tsp Locust Bean Gum
  • 1⁄4 Cup Medjool Dates (pitted)
  • 1⁄4 Cup Frazier Farms Honey

Directions

  1. Add coconut milk, almond milk, MRM Raw Matcha Green Tea Powder, dates, and Frazier Farms Honey to a blender and mix until you have a nice, smooth consistency. Add the locust bean gum and mix once more. Taste and adjust the flavor if you need to add more dates, honey, or matcha.
  2. Pour the contents into a freezer safe container with a lid and place in the freezer for a few hours or overnight.
  3. If you freeze it overnight leave it out for 30-45 minutes to soften before serving.
  4. Serve it by itself or add your favorite toppings such as chocolate, nuts, or fruit.
