Mesquite Seared Tuna With A Peanut Dressing
This dish is a perfect summers day appetizer to share with friends... or to keep all for yourself (we wouldn't judge you!). The Mesquite dusting on the fresh tuna gives the fish a wonderful caramelized color and a "fresh-off-the-BBQ" aroma. The flavorsome, yet subtle, peanut dressing highlights the flavors of the dish and leaves you nothing but satisfied.
3 Tbsp Macadamia Nut Oil
2 Tbsp Chopped Peanuts
1 Tbsp Chopped Capers
1 Tbsp White Wine Vinegar
Whisk all peanut dressing ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside.
Preheat stovetop to high heat and add a little bit of olive oil to a frying pan.
Spinkle salt on both sides of tuna and place onto the pan.
While the tuna is searing dust it with 2Tbsp of MRM Mesquite Powder on each side. Continue to sear for 10 more seconds.
Slice tuna into thin strips, top with peanut sauce, and garnish with Spinach and baby cilantro.
