Orange Cacao Chia Pudding Mousse

Orange cacao chia pudding mousse is so versatile you could whip some up for breakfast and save the leftovers for dessert later that same night! With all of the nutritious benefits who wouldn't want to do that anyway?!


  • 3/4 Cup Chia Seeds
  • 1/3 Cup Cacao Powder
  • 1 Orange (Zest Only)
  • 2 Cups Milk or Milk Alternative
  • 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar


  1. In a bowl, whisk the chia seeds, cacao powder, orange zest, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and milk until fully combined.
  2. Set in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Once thickened from setting in the fridge, transfer to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. With an electric whisk, whip the egg whites with the sugar for 3-4 minutes, or until you have a meringue-like egg white that holds its shape and peaks.
  5. Gently fold the chia mix into the egg whites until fully mixed and pour into individual cups, or bowls.
  6. Chill overnight (if possible) and serve with some fresh berries! Enjoy!
