Spicy Chickpea & Rice Sliders With Chili Garlic Mayo On A Pretzel Bun

Spicy chickpea & rice sliders with chili garlic mayo on a pretzel bun- don't worry Goldilocks, while the name is quite a mouthful the sliders are just right! Totally vegan, and totally delicious, prepare to have requests for these at any tailgate, party, or meal.... yup, they're really that good!


  • 1 Can chickpeas (drained)
  • 2 Cups cooked white rice
  • ½ Cup chopped mushrooms
  • 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 Tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp MRM Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Cilantro
  • Shredded carrots
  • Sliced cucumbers
  • Mini slider pretzel buns

Chili Garlic Mayo

  • ¼ Cup vegan mayo
  • ½ Tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • ½ Squeezed lime


  1. Pour rice into a large bowl. In a small bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork until they have a paste-like texture.
  2. Pour the mashed chickpeas, mushrooms, spices, garlic, and breadcrumbs into the large bowl with rice. Using your hand's, mix until uniformly combined.
  3. Form into small patties, place on a tray or plate and let sit in the fridge for 10 minutes to firm up.
  4. Heat a skillet on medium heat and add a splash of oil. Place your patties into the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  5. Toast your buns, garnish with a little chili garlic mayo, cilantro, carrots, and cucumber. Enjoy!
