Turmeric Cod Fish Tacos

These turmeric and cod fish tacos are a perfect summer recipe, they're light enough so they don't weigh you down but substantial enough to fill you up and keep you full! Turmeric is a delicious superfood full of health benefits, vitamins, and minerals. You really can't go wrong here with this delicious combo!

Ingredients

  • 6oz Atlantic Cod
  • 4 corn tortillas
  • 2 tsp MRM Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup chopped purple cabbage
  • ¼ chopped cilantro
  • 1 sliced jalapeno
  • Lime juice
  • Salt and pepperCreamy Lime Sauce
  • ½ cup mayo
  • ½ tbsp lime juice
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Take your fresh cod and pat dry with a paper towel. Set to the side
  2. Chop and slice your cabbage, cilantro, and jalapeno. In a pan add a little olive oil and sauté you jalapeno for about 1-2 minutes, just to brown a little. Set aside
  3. In a small mixing bowl add your creamy lime sauce ingredients, using a spoon mix well. You can serve this as is or out of a squeeze bottle.
  4. Heat a skillet on high heat and add a little cooking oil. Take your cod and sprinkle a little salt and pepper then rub your turmeric on both sides. Add to your pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and allow to rest for a minute then cut into 1 inch slices (lengthwise)
  5. Warm up your tortillas, then add your fish, toppings, and sauce. Serve with a cold drink on the side!
